JobDotCom is a web application that connects job seekers with potential employers. It provides a platform for users to create profiles, search for job opportunities, and apply for positions. This repository contains the source code and documentation for the JobDotCom project.

Installation

To install and run the JobDotCom application locally, follow these steps:

  1. Clone this repository:
git clone https://github.com/nandar-dev/JobDotCom.git
  1. Install the required dependencies:

cd JobDotCom
npm install
  1. Set up the environment variables:

    • Create a .env file in the root directory.
    • Copy the content of the .env.example file into .env.
    • Update the values in the .env file with your own configuration.
  2. Start the development server:

npm start
  1. Open your web browser and visit http://localhost:3000 to access the JobDotCom application.

Usage

Once you have the application running, you can use it as follows:

  1. Create an account or log in if you already have one.
  2. Complete your profile with your skills, experience, and other relevant information.
  3. Browse the job listings or use the search functionality to find specific opportunities.
  4. Apply for jobs by submitting your resume and cover letter.
  5. Employers can log in, create job listings, and manage applications from job seekers.
  6. Communicate with employers or other job seekers through the messaging system.
